Nitro Car and Truck News
- When ordering a fuel system for your
nitro car or truck, please measure the outside diameter of the neck
of your carb. This will greatly speed up delivery of your
order.
- When installing the bypass system on your
nitro car, make sure that the "T" fitting is closer to the
carb than the pump. If the "T" fitting is placed
closer to the pump, all of the fuel will be bypassed back to the
tank causing very difficult carb adjustments.
- If your engine is running smooth and
suddenly runs erratic, remember, if all else fails, change your glow
plug before you start to adjust your carb.
- If you have installed the VP-30 pump in
your car or truck and the model seems to run fine at first but they
starts to slow down when you try to accelerate, check to see if
there is an accumulation of fuel residue in the red line that goes
to the bottom of the pump. If so, try to locate the pump higher than
the pressure fitting in the engine and make sure there are no low
points in the red pressure line. If this does not correct the
problem give Conley Precision a call at 1-630-858-3160 and I will be
glad to send you a special "T" fitting (at no charge) that
is installed in the red line between the pressure fitting on the
engine and the bottom of the pump. This will vent all of the thick
oil residue in the line and solve the problem.
